Carley + Mike | Winter Adventure Engagement Session | Calmar, Alberta
With my wedding couples, I always hope that I'll be able to attract couples that jive with who I am and the things that I value most. I was so grateful to connect with Carley + Mike this past Fall at the cutest little coffee shop in Leduc and learn more about them, their upcoming wedding and everything they were looking for in a photographer. When they mentioned to me that family was one of the most important things to them, I instantly knew they were my people. Having these two book their 2019 wedding date with me truly made me feel like I was on the right path with attracting those gems of people that are so infectious with their positivity, you feel like I better person after you've spent time with them. This winter I headed out to Carley's parents home in the country near Calmar, Alberta. It's the spot where they'll be saying their vows to one another this summer. Carley + Mike showed me around the property, took me to the lake, we had a fire and roasted marshmallows. It was the perfect winter day. It always feels so incredibly meaningful when a couple allows me to capture their love in a space that holds so much value to them. Carley's family's home. The land that Carley + Mike hunt on every Fall. They have family dinners here, spend summer nights out by the fire here - is a pretty amazing thing to be able to capture. And how cool is it that they'll be celebrating with all of their loved ones here this coming summer. (volleyball tournament included). Over these past months of getting to know Carley + Mike, it's been such a treat to be able to consider these two MUCH, MUCH more than just clients - these are my people. And I am so blessed to be able to preserve a piece of their story.
